The Ultimate March Scope Experience - SHOT Show 2025

Writer's picture: MacMac

Walking into SHOT Show 2025, my expectations were through the roof, and March Scopes was right at the top of my must-visit list. Unfortunately, my schedule was a chaotic mess, and I couldn’t meet with them until Day 3—but trust me, if I had my way, they would’ve been my first stop the second the doors opened!

For those of you who know me, you already know I went all-in on my F-Class scope last year, snagging the March 8-80x56 Majesta as part of my mission to climb the ranks. When I pick a piece of gear, I don’t just dip a toe in the water—I cannonball straight in. And this scope? Absolute game-changer. The MTR-WFD reticle, designed to keep shooters dialed in during full-day competitions, immediately caught my attention, and from the first moment I put glass to target, I was hooked. But more on that in another article!

I figured my time at the March booth would be like most other stops—maybe a quick 15-30 minute chat, a handshake, a business card exchange, and then off to the next one. I mean, it’s March Scopes—surely they’d have a line out the door.

But just as I walked up, I lucked out—they happened to hit a rare lull between meetings. And suddenly, I was face-to-face with legends:

  • Gary Costello – F-Class Open World Champion

  • Tim Vaught – Short and Long Range F-Class Open US National Champion

  • Brandon Rudge – PRS Pro Shooter and creator of the FML-WBR reticle

  • Mari Morita – Head of Marketing and an incredible shooter herself

  • Denys Beauchemin – The mastermind behind my beloved reticle

  • And yes, the actual Owner of March Scopes!

I went from hoping for a quick chat with someone from the team to standing among some of the most elite shooters and key figures in the industry. And what really blew me away? It wasn’t just about meeting them—it was how excited they were to talk with me. They welcomed me like an old friend, shared stories, and even hooked me up with some sweet March swag (shoutout to Gary!).

As you guys know, I travel quite a bit and usually find myself in the UK at least once, if not twice, a year. So it was especially cool to meet Jordan Rubio, the UK rep, and Doug Wright, the Canada rep. Seeing how March is represented across different parts of the world reinforced just how tight-knit and passionate this community is—whether in the US, the UK, or beyond, we’re all speaking the same language when it comes to precision shooting.

And just when I thought things couldn’t possibly get any better... they did.

Over the next two days, I spent nearly four hours with the March team, filming everything from their classic best-sellers to their brand-new innovations. I got insights that would have taken me years to piece together on my own and even got hands-on time with scopes I didn’t even know existed.

From getting deep into an in-depth review of the March 8-80x56, to checking out the fresh-out-of-the-lab 8-80x56 Tracking Scope, and of course, the March-FX 5-42x56 PRS Scope —I was living the dream.

And the cherry on top? I got to meet F-Class John and Erik Cortina. That’s right—SHOT Show Bingo: complete.

I could ramble on for hours about everything I saw, but let’s get into what you really want to hear—the products. And remember, there are YouTube videos for each of these, so be sure to check them out!

March-X 8-80x56mm High Master Wide Angle "Majesta" Riflescope in MOA

The March-X 8-80x56 SFP High Master Wide Angle Scope isn’t just an upgrade—it’s like trading a sports car for a fighter jet.

  • 80x magnification? Check.

  • 25-degree wide-angle eyepiece for a ridiculous 156% expanded field of view? Oh yeah.

  • Super ED lenses that kill chromatic aberration and boost clarity? You bet.

And if you’re worried about durability, don’t be. This thing is built like a tank. We’re talking:

  • 34mm body tube with 4mm-thick walls (one of the toughest scopes out there)

  • Waterproof up to 4 meters

  • Impact-tested to 1000G (because why not?)

  • Shuriken lock elevation and windage turrets for rock-solid adjustments

Throw in the MTR-WFD reticle, designed for 1000-yard F-Class matches, and you’ve got a scope that doesn’t just perform—it dominates.

PS I hear great things about the MTR-W1 reticle as well

Final Thoughts:

And that, my friends, was my March Scopes experience at SHOT Show 2025. This was an absolute once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity. A massive thank you to the entire March Scopes team for welcoming me with open arms, sharing their expertise, and taking the time to showcase their incredible optics. Meeting the team behind some of the most cutting-edge scopes in the industry was truly humbling, and I walked away with more knowledge (and inspiration) than I ever expected.

This is just the beginning—there’s so much more to come. Stay tuned for the podcast, my full SHOT Show wrap-up article, and of course, detailed video breakdowns of everything I covered. Until next time, get out to the range and take the shot!
